First Draft of Digipak

I sat down and decided on ideas that could potentially be used for the design of our music video, As the digipak was being sectioned into two we all wanted different ideas for our design of the digipak. i created a series of ideas that could be used for the deisgn, pictures, inserts and feel of it. These are the ideas that I came up with for the themes of our digipak.

Initial ideas of digipak
The ideas that I came up with were initial ideas that I was going to expand on. We first came up with the idea of creating a CD cover, we thought that this would be a good idea as a cd is never blank. A lot of people in our media class were also doing CD covers and therefore we deicided against doing this and instead we wanted to try something different. Our next idea for the inside of the digipak was an insert, we thought that we could include a poster and a pull out of pictures. We thought this would be a good idea as these are personal images that can only befound within the digipak, the fan who bought the CD could then keep these pictures on them or put them somewhere, this way they can have full use of the pictures rather than them being on top of the CD,where it wouldnt be seen inside the cd player. At first we was very unsure of the colour scheme and thought we could perhaps go for pink or vibrant colours to make the album stand out from the others. We then thought that we do not just want our album to appeal to women, we would also like it to appeal to men aswell. After looking at the likes of Rihanna and Lady Gaga we realized that a lot of female pop artists have a 'sexy' look and highlight their assets by wearing nothing, well nearly nothing. This look makes the album sell, Rihanna is now known for her 'freaky'ways and her sexual image, making her appeal to both men and women. "Men want her and Women want to be her". After realizing that this is the best way to sell an album we rethough about the colours, rather than going for vibrant colours or pink we made a final decision on a Black, White and Red colour scheme to represent a woman, and a new sexy feel to Jayme-Lee.
